About

Hello to you all, and welcome to my blog. And yes, it’s – mainly – a food blog. Yet another one, you may think, and you’re probably right. Still, it comes with a twist, and the clue’s in the name: I’m French, and a gourmet… Actually, I was born into a family of food-obsessed people – even by French standards. My mum is a “cordon-bleu” cook, and was cooking day in, day out and by the age of five, I already had dined in at least three Michelin-starred restaurants, alongside numerous others. And back in those days, there was no such thing as a “kid’s menu”… just smaller portions of the exact same dishes my parents were enjoying. That defines not only your tastes, but also your attitude towards food. As far back as I can remember, my dad was choosing our holiday itinerary according to the Guide Michelin, or the Gault et Millau. And, of course, I came to cook myself. I’m not a chef, but a very decent home cook.

So, there you are, you have the background, and this blog is a – modest – attempt to share some of my foodie trips, best addresses, anecdotes, recipes and cooking tricks…
